ENOUGH IS ENOUGH
Attended another San Luis Obispo County Board of Supervisor hearing on the Arroyo Grande Oil Field. Another feeble attempt to convince the Board to do the right thing for the right reason.
For ten freaking years we have been confronting the Board every which way but loose to get the Arroyo Grande Oil Fields certified and approved safe and sound before allowing drilling and dumping. Their response to our demands for proper permitting and licensing in every encounter has been dismissed, ignored, violated and they unceremoniously flip us off as they strut their indignant and cocky votes to continue putting our lives and livelihoods at risk.
They allow dirty, filthy exempt, immune oil companies a safe haven in our back yard without our consent. Inviting them to operate without proper license or permits that would guarantee our safety and ultimate well being from accidents, spills, lies, and deceptive business practices that are fossil fuel’s hallmark and standard operating procedures.
And why have the Board of Supervisors been able to get away with allowing illegal and unlawful operations? Because no one has officially told this lead agency to do their job and get the permits or else there will be consequences.
In a fair and just system Our Governor, CalGEM, EPA, Attorney General would be there by our sides to ensure enforcement of all those rules and regulations that keep us safe. Our elected and appointed officials have all bailed on enforcement of their own standards and rules and regulations without any consequences. We are looking at corruption in the first degree.
Time to do something different to get different results. Enough is enough. We are done playing this game that makes us look like damn fools that believe in unicorns and that our elected officials actually give a damn about doing the right thing and upholding and enforcing codes and rules and regulations that ensure and perpetuate a sense of trust and confidence in the system.
We no longer believe or trust that they care or intend to uphold and enforce the health and well being of our community. We don’t feel safe. We feel betrayed and violated.
Our elected officials have announced, with their latest vote to dismiss the appeal that calls them out on illegal and unlawful activity, their undying loyalty and love for the offending party, Sentinel Peak Resources, LLC.
See you can’t serve 2 masters. It’s an either or situation when it comes to rights and loyalty. My rights are NOT negotiable or compromiseable. They are absolute. Siding with Sentinel is an unequivocal vote against this community and our rights. So now we know for sure whose side the San Luis Obispo Board of Supervisors is on.
So it is up to us to take the law into our own hands. To use the tools that our Constitution gave us to ensure that when corrupt, captured, derelict, deviant, possessed and obsessed politicians use their power to obliterate, distort and convolute our inherent, intrinsic rights, values and worth with lies and deception we can take an offensive step in our own defense and move towards curing ourselves of the cancerous, blood sucking growth that is slowly eating away at our very soul and essence as human beings.
Taking the law into our own hands means turning this over to a court of our peers a Grand Jury, Department of Justice or District Attorney.
The law is the rule of right. Right is a moral and ethical principle that every human being having reached the age of reason knows and understands. Everyone knows the difference between right and wrong. And if that needs clarification just ask yourself, “ How would that make me feel if it happened to me? Golden Rule pure and simple.
And free will ensures that human beings, not to include fictitious beings, are able to freely choose between right and wrong. It is this inherent free will that makes laws necessary.
Laws are the rule of right and necessary in a civilized and orderly society to protect those that chose to do the right thing from those that chose to do the wrong thing. A court of law’s job is righting wrongs. In simple terms your rights end where my face begins. So if you are thinking of trespassing on my unalienable right to be free and safe then be prepared to feel the full consequences of my righteous indignation that is going to impregnate your physical and mental psyche with what real justice feels like.
Righting wrongs means taking your right to be free to lie and cheat and threaten the well being of every man, woman and child in this community as well as all the flora and fauna that is absolutely totally dependent on clean, pure, uncontaminated uncompromised air and water that the Board carelessly and recklessly gave away to convicted felony polluters and turning into a life sentence behind bars. Or until the water is restored to its original state and all the babies affected by poisoned and contaminated water are cured.
Consequences for the B of S’s felony trespass on our rights is incarceration until the water is back to its original as nature intended, state. That could be forever. So be it.
Water is life. There is no substitute for water. So righting the wrong of careless, reckless disregard for the precious sacred lifeline that is water is life behind bars. Tit for tat and justice served. And our hope is that this conviction will send a loud and clear message to all governing boards and elected officials that think they have a right to ignore us and are immune from prosecution, you are not safe.
We hope they will think twice before switching loyalties knowing there will be consequences. Dire consequences. Swift action is going to be the new normal against corrupt politicians. Living in a cell with nothing but bread and contaminated waste water to drink forever.
Enough is enough. We are done being treated like second class citizens who allow elected officials to abuse their power and willfully refuse to uphold and enforce, recognize and respect our Constitutional rights to be free from fear of corrupt politicians who under the color of office jeopardize, terrorize and vandalize our sacred trust.
